CARDINALS ANNOUNCE SPRING ROSTER REDUCTIONS

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that the team has reduced its Spring Training roster to 27 players with three players moving to minor league camp. Pitcher Zack Thompson to be placed on the Injured List on Monday, March 24.

Prior to today’s game, the Cardinals optioned infielder José Fermín and pitcher Michael McGreevy to Memphis (AAA) and re-assigned non-roster infielder José Barrero to the Memphis roster.
