The UCLA Bruins took a tough hit in the Men’s College World Series, falling 9-5 to the second-ranked LSU Tigers on Tuesday at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. The loss marked UCLA’s first stumble in this year’s tournament, snapping their impressive six-game win streak in NCAA postseason play.

The game, which resumed in the fourth inning after a nearly three-hour weather delay from Monday night, saw the Bruins (48-17) come out swinging. They jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, but LSU (50-15) roared back with four runs in the bottom half, seizing control and never looking back. The Tigers’ relentless offense proved too much for UCLA to overcome, despite the Bruins’ efforts to claw their way back.

Now, the seventh-ranked Bruins face a do-or-die showdown against third-ranked Arkansas in an elimination game tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPN. It’s a high-stakes matchup, and for UCLA, it’ll be their first doubleheader of the season—a test of endurance and grit as they fight to keep their College World Series dreams alive.

Can the Bruins regroup and channel their postseason magic to stave off elimination? Tune in tonight to find out.
