The first full official trailer for The Punisher: One Last Kill has arrived, and it delivers exactly what Punisher devotees have been craving: raw, unflinching violence, psychological torment, and Jon Bernthal once again embodying the most lethal vigilante in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The special presentation, officially titled A Marvel Television Special Presentation: The Punisher: One Last Kill, is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on May 12, 2026—just one week after the Season 2 finale of Daredevil: Born Again.
In the newly released trailer, Bernthal’s Frank Castle is shown at his most unhinged. He’s engulfed in flames, tormented by haunting hallucinations and voices from his past, before launching into a blood-soaked murderous rampage. The footage promises the same gritty, no-holds-barred intensity that defined Bernthal’s portrayal on Netflix, now amplified within the official MCU timeline.
The official synopsis reads: “As Frank Castle searches for meaning beyond revenge, an unexpected force pulls him back into the fight.” After his escape from imprisonment in the post-credits scene of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, Castle appears to be attempting a quieter life—only to be dragged back into the cycle of violence he knows best.
This standalone special (reportedly around 60 minutes) is positioned as a bridge in Phase Six of the MCU. It follows Castle’s supporting role in Daredevil: Born Again and is expected to set up his involvement in upcoming projects, including Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Jon Bernthal not only stars but also co-wrote the project alongside director Reinaldo Marcus Green (We Own This City). Green brings a grounded, character-driven approach that should suit the street-level stakes perfectly.
