Floyd Roger Myers Jr., the young actor who brought youthful vigor to flashback scenes as a pint-sized Will Smith in the beloved 1990s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, died on October 29, 2025, at the age of 42.

Myers suffered a fatal heart attack at his home in Maryland early Wednesday morning, his mother, Renee Trice, confirmed to TMZ. This marked his third such incident, underscoring years of private health battles that he faced with resilience. Trice shared the devastating news, noting the profound void left in their family.

Rising to prominence as a child star, Myers appeared in several episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the NBC hit that aired from 1990 to 1996 and catapulted Will Smith to global fame. His portrayal of “Young Will” infused the show’s nostalgic moments with infectious energy, endearing him to generations of viewers who grew up quoting lines like “In West Philadelphia born and raised.” Though his on-screen career was short-lived, it cemented his place in television history as a symbol of the era’s fresh, family-oriented comedy.

Beyond the spotlight, Myers was a devoted father to four children: Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox. Details of his post-acting life remained private, but his legacy as a performer and parent endures.
