Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson has dropped her latest single, “Crush,” on August 15, 2025, a vibrant and bittersweet track from her highly anticipated fifth studio album, Midnight Sun, set for release on September 26, 2025, via Sommer House and Epic Records. Following the success of her earlier singles “Midnight Sun” and “Pretty Ugly,” “Crush” delivers a dance-ready pop anthem that captures the emotional tug-of-war of longing for someone new while cherishing an existing relationship.

Co-written by Larsson with Helena Gao, Margo XS, and longtime collaborator MNEK, and produced by MNEK and Zhone, “Crush” blends sparkling vocals with polished, contemporary production. The song’s lyrics explore the thrill and conflict of a fleeting infatuation, with Larsson singing, “It ain’t heartbreak, but it still hurts enough / Oh baby I’m crushed, it will never be us.” Its infectious beat and relatable storytelling make it a perfect addition to late-summer playlists, destined to resonate with fans in those “crying-in-the-club” moments.

Larsson has teased “Crush” on social media, including a TikTok preview on August 4, 2025, building excitement for the release. A music video, directed by Charlotte Rutherford, is expected soon, promising to complement the song’s vibrant energy. Currently, Larsson is performing the track on her North American arena tour supporting Tate McRae, with upcoming headline shows in Europe and Australasia in 2025 and 2026.

Midnight Sun, Larsson’s first album since 2024’s Venus, promises 10 tracks that reflect her Swedish pop roots and personal growth. “Crush” is available now on all streaming platforms, offering fans another glimpse into the emotional depth and pop prowess of this global star.

The pop star recently kicked off a North American arena tour alongside Tate McRae, which is set to hit Chicago, IL tonight at the United Center. With stops along the way including New York, NY’s Madison Square Garden on September 2 and 3, and Los Angeles, CA’s The Forum on September 26 and 27, Zara has been teasing the new album by performing some of the unreleased music.  On October 28, she will kick off a European headlining tour, before hitting the road in February 2026 alongside OneRepublic in Australia and New Zealand.
