After over five decades of delivering electrifying performances and timeless anthems, Journey, the iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band, has announced their “Final Frontier” North American Farewell Tour. This 60-date trek, set to kick off in 2026, marks the end of an era for the San Francisco-formed band, known for global hits like “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Any Way You Want It,” and “Faithfully.” The tour, presented by AEG Presents, promises a career-spanning setlist, a brand-new stage production, and a heartfelt thank-you to fans who have supported the band since its inception in 1973.
“This tour is our heartfelt thank-you to the fans who’ve been with us every step of the way—through every song, every era, every high and low,” said founding guitarist Neal Schon in a statement. “We’re pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production—the hits, the deep cuts, the energy, the spectacle. It’s a full-circle celebration of the music that’s brought us all together.”
The current lineup, featuring Schon, longtime keyboardist Jonathan Cain, lead vocalist Arnel Pineda (who joined in 2007), keyboardist/vocalist Jason Derlatka, drummer/vocalist Deen Castronovo, and bassist Todd Jensen, will take the stage for what is billed as “A Special Evening With Journey.” This means no opening acts, ensuring fans get a full dose of Journey’s catalog, from chart-topping anthems to beloved deep cuts.
Jonathan Cain, who has been with the band since 1980 and co-wrote many of their signature songs, reflected on the tour’s significance: “It’s been an incredible ride. We’ve shared our music with millions, and this tour is about gratitude, connection, and one last chance to feel that magic together.” Arnel Pineda added, “I’m honored to be part of this legacy, and I’m grateful for having been welcomed with such open arms. Every night on stage has been a dream come true.”
The tour kicks off on February 28, 2026, at the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and will traverse North America, hitting major cities like Montreal, Austin, and Tampa, as well as secondary markets, before wrapping up its first leg on July 2 in Laredo, Texas. Notably, the itinerary skips some primary markets like San Francisco and New York City, leading to speculation that a second leg, possibly extending into 2027, may be announced later.
Tickets for the “Final Frontier” tour go on sale to the general public on November 14, 2025, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Citi cardmembers can access a presale starting November 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. local time through Citi Entertainment. A limited number of VIP packages, including premium seats and exclusive merchandise, will also be available.
While this tour marks the end of Journey’s touring career, Neal Schon emphasized that his musical journey is far from over: “As its founding member, I carry the Journey torch to this day, wherever I go. While this marks a farewell to one powerful chapter of the Journey we’ve shared, I want everyone to know I’m not done. Music is still burning strong inside me, and there are new creative horizons ahead.”
Journey’s legacy is undeniable, with over 100 million albums sold worldwide, 18 top 40 Billboard Hot 100 singles, and a diamond-certified Greatest Hits album. Their anthem “Don’t Stop Believin’” alone has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify and remains one of the most downloaded songs in digital music history.
