Southern California metal mainstays ATREYU will return to St. Louis on November 5 for a stop at The Pageant as part of Underoath’s Define the Great Line 20th Anniversary Tour. The bill also includes August Burns Red and As Cities Burn, pairing longtime scene figures with a lineup built around high-energy sets and shared history in heavy music.
The date arrives shortly after the release of ATREYU’s latest album, The End is Not the End. The record finds the band leaning into a heavier, more expansive approach while keeping the melodic instincts that have defined their work. Produced by Matt Pauling and shaped during sessions in Tokyo as well as on the more isolated San Juan Island, the album reflects a deliberate push toward extremes without abandoning atmosphere or structure. Tracks such as “Dead” emphasize raw intensity, while “Ghost in Me” and “Children of Light” (featuring Max Cavalera) open into broader, more cinematic territory. The result is a collection that balances aggression and melody in a way that feels continuous with the band’s earlier identity yet clearly points forward.
For St. Louis fans, the show offers a rare combination of anniversary-tour context and current material. Underoath’s celebration of Define the Great Line provides the framework, while ATREYU, August Burns Red, and As Cities Burn bring their own catalogs and recent output into the mix. The Pageant’s room has long suited this style of heavy, dynamic live music, and the November 5 date is positioned as a full-evening bill rather than a short club set.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster. ATREYU has indicated availability for interviews, and the band’s recent visualizer for “Children of Light (feat. Max Cavalera)” offers an early look at the tone of the new material.
The November 5 appearance at The Pageant gives local listeners a chance to hear both the anniversary material that helped shape the surrounding scene and the newer, more adventurous direction ATREYU has taken on The End is Not the End.
