British alternative rock band Bush is marking a key chapter in their catalog with a newly remastered 15th anniversary edition of The Sea of Memories, set for release on September 25, 2026 via earMUSIC.
Originally issued on September 13, 2011, the album was Bush’s first full studio effort in a decade following 2001’s Golden State. It arrived with a revised lineup featuring frontman Gavin Rossdale on vocals and rhythm guitar, Chris Traynor on lead guitar, Corey Britz on bass, and original drummer Robin Goodridge. Produced by Bob Rock, the record reintroduced the band’s signature mix of melodic intensity, driving guitars, and Rossdale’s distinctive, emotive delivery after a long hiatus.
The Sea of Memories debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard 200, moving roughly 20,000 copies in its first week in the United States. The lead single “The Sound of Winter” became one of the band’s biggest later-era successes, topping both the Alternative Songs and Rock Songs charts. Follow-up tracks including “Baby Come Home” and “The Afterlife” further underscored the album’s strong radio presence.
The new anniversary edition presents the original 12-track album with fresh 2026 remastered audio, accompanied by nine bonus tracks drawn from various editions, B-sides, remixes, and live performances. Available formats include a limited deluxe 2CD digipak with an exclusive poster booklet and a limited heavyweight 180-gram 3LP gatefold edition. On the vinyl version, the remastered original album occupies the first two LPs, with the bonus material collected on a third disc.

Fifteen years on, The Sea of Memories stands as both a successful comeback and a bridge between Bush’s 1990s commercial peak and their continued activity in the years that followed. The expanded anniversary package offers longtime fans a more complete document of the era while giving newer listeners an accessible entry point into one of the band’s most significant modern releases.
