Insider Daniel Richtman has teased the casting on Patreon, igniting fresh fan excitement that Ryan Gosling could finally ride into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ghost Rider. Speculation centers on a possible appearance in Avengers: Doomsday or a larger Midnight Sons team-up alongside Blade and Moon Knight.
Gosling has long been linked to the Spirit of Vengeance. He publicly pitched himself for the role back in 2022, and in March of this year he confirmed that talks with Marvel had taken place. Appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast while promoting Project Hail Mary, he kept things characteristically measured: “Some discussions have been had. It’s a complicated situation.” He added that hope remains alive.
Kevin Feige has never shut the door. When Gosling’s interest first surfaced years ago, the Marvel Studios president said he’d love to find a place for the actor in the MCU. Fans have already begun circulating concept art of a flame-skulled Gosling tearing through multiversal chaos or locking eyes with Blade and Moon Knight in a supernatural team-up. A Midnight Sons project has been a persistent rumor for years; pairing Gosling’s intensity and cool detachment with the Spirit of Vengeance would give that idea real star power.
