USA Baseball has unveiled its powerhouse roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, revealed during a special live broadcast on MLB Network’s MLB Tonight program. The 30-man squad is loaded with elite talent, all aimed at one mission: reclaiming the WBC title for the United States.

Team USA General Manager Michael Hill emphasized the focus: the group was assembled specifically to deliver a championship to American fans, and he expressed gratitude to MLB clubs for releasing such a talented collection of players.

Manager Mark DeRosa echoed that sentiment, noting the challenge in building the team but highlighting the pride these players take in representing their country. “These guys understand what it means to pull on that USA jersey,” DeRosa said, adding that the squad is prepared to battle for the trophy.

USA Baseball CEO Paul Seiler praised the effort behind the scenes, calling it a gathering of the nation’s top baseball talent. He spotlighted the return of 15 alumni from previous USA Baseball teams, expressing excitement for the group to chase gold in the red, white, and blue this March.

The roster boasts an incredible 65 combined All-Star selections. Leading the charge is team captain Aaron Judge, the three-time AL MVP (2022, 2024, 2025), joined by fellow multi-MVP winner Bryce Harper (2015, 2021). The lineup also includes past MVPs Paul Goldschmidt (2022 NL) and Clayton Kershaw (2014 NL).

On the mound, the staff features both 2025 Cy Young winners: Paul Skenes and Tarik Skubal, giving Team USA a devastating pitching duo right out of the gate.

Ten players earned All-MLB honors in 2025, with Judge, Cal Raleigh, Skenes, Skubal, and Bobby Witt Jr. making the First Team, while Corbin Carroll, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Kyle Schwarber, Will Smith, and Brice Turang landed on the Second Team.

Fifteen alumni are back in the fold, including five from the 2023 WBC: Bednar, Goldschmidt, Schwarber, Smith, and Witt Jr. Goldschmidt will make history as the first player to appear in three WBCs for the U.S., reuniting with five-time alum Alex Bregman (from 2017).

Youth connections add depth too: Carroll, Crow-Armstrong, and Witt Jr. reunite from the 2018 18U National Team that captured gold in a WBSC qualifier. Crow-Armstrong, a four-time USA alum, links up again with Nolan McLean (2019 18U) and Skenes (2014 12U).

Overall, the team combines for 22 Silver Sluggers, 22 All-Stars, 13 Gold Gloves, six Cy Youngs, and five Rookie of the Year awards. Seven players have Olympic or international gold medals for the U.S. (12 total), led by Bregman’s four.

Under GM Hill and Manager DeRosa, Team USA hunts its second WBC crown after winning in 2017 (an 8-0 shutout of Puerto Rico) and earning silver in 2023. DeRosa’s coaching staff includes pitching coach Andy Pettitte, hitting coaches Sean Casey and Matt Holliday, third base coach Dino Ebel, first base coach George Lombard, bullpen coach David Ross, and assistant managers Fredi González, Brian McCann, and Michael Young.

The 2026 WBC runs March 5-17 across four host sites: San Juan (Pool A), Houston (Pool B), Tokyo (Pool C), and Miami (Pool D). Team USA plays in Pool B at Daikin Park in Houston from March 6-10.

After exhibitions in Scottsdale on March 3-4, the Americans open pool play March 6 vs. Brazil (7:00 p.m. CT), followed by Great Britain (March 7), Mexico (March 9), and Italy (March 10). Semis and finals take place at loanDepot Park in Miami. Games air live on Fox Media outlets.
