Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man | Official Teaser | Netflix

Whatever happened to Tommy Shelby, the famous gypsy gangster? Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man premieres March 6 in select cinemas and March 20 2026 on Netflix. Watch on Netflix: https://www.netflix.com/title/81319485 About Netflix: Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages.

Four years after the critically acclaimed series finale of Peaky Blinders left fans pondering the fate of Birmingham’s most infamous gangster, Netflix has dropped the first teaser for the highly anticipated feature film: Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. Released on Christmas Eve 2025, the teaser has sent shockwaves through the fandom, confirming that Cillian Murphy’s Tommy Shelby isn’t quite done with the criminal underworld—or perhaps it’s the other way around.

The 70-second teaser opens with a haunting question: “Whatever happened to Tommy Shelby, the famous gypsy gangster?” We see a weary, isolated Tommy, clad in his signature tweed, standing amid ruins and graveyards, far from the smoky pubs and razor-edged streets of Birmingham. “I’m not that man anymore,” he declares, his voice low and resolute. But the trailer quickly undercuts his claim with flashes of violence—explosions, gunfire, and shadowy figures in the chaos of war. A voice urges, “Tommy… you’ve got to come back.” The implication is clear: the past refuses to stay buried.

Set in Birmingham, 1940, amid the bombings of World War II, the film thrusts Tommy back into the fray after his self-imposed exile. The official synopsis teases a “most destructive reckoning yet,” with the future of his family and the nation hanging in the balance. Tommy must confront his demons and decide whether to embrace his legacy or burn it to the ground. As series creator Steven Knight puts it: “The country is at war, and so, of course, are our Peaky Blinders. It will be an explosive chapter… Full-on Peaky Blinders at war.”

The teaser hints at a tense reunion of the Shelby clan, with glimpses of returning favorites like Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne, alongside new faces including Barry Keoghan (whose character appears to lead a new generation of Blinders), Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Stephen Graham, Jay Lycurgo, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck. Directed by Tom Harper (who helmed early episodes of the series) and written by Knight, the film promises to deliver the signature blend of gritty drama, stylish violence, and atmospheric cinematography that made Peaky Blinders a global phenomenon.

Murphy, fresh off his Oscar-winning turn in Oppenheimer, reprises the role that defined his career. “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me,” he said in a statement to Netflix. “It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans.”

The teaser builds on years of anticipation. After the series ended in 2022—with Tommy faking his death and riding off into the sunset—Knight long hinted that the story would conclude on the big screen. Production wrapped in late 2025, and the film now serves as the bridge to a planned sequel series set in the 1950s, exploring a new generation of Shelbys (with Murphy executive producing but not starring).

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man will premiere in select theaters on March 6, 2026, before streaming on Netflix starting March 20, 2026. The teaser has already sparked massive excitement online, with fans dissecting every frame for clues about Tommy’s arc and the wartime intrigue.

By order of the Peaky Blinders: the wait is almost over. Get your flat caps ready—Tommy Shelby is back, and the streets of Birmingham are about to ignite once more.
