The surgery addresses a lingering AC joint injury initially sustained during a Week 4 game against the Miami Dolphins on September 30, 2024, when Levis dove for a first down and landed awkwardly.
Levis, a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, started 12 games in 2024, posting a 2-10 record with 2,091 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Despite returning after a bye week and playing through discomfort, the shoulder issue persisted, leading to him missing three games and being benched for two others. During the offseason, Levis participated fully in the Titans’ OTAs and minicamp, showing no apparent limitations while training with quarterback coach Jordan Palmer. However, recent discomfort during minicamp prompted further medical evaluations, resulting in the decision for surgery.
