The Los Angeles Dodgers introduced their new Low-A affiliate, the Ontario Tower Buzzers, at a lively Ontario Town Square event on September 18, 2025. Set to debut in the California League in 2026, the aviation-themed team, inspired by Top Gun’s “buzz the tower” line, will play at the $120 million ONT Field, part of the Ontario Sports Empire complex.

The Buzzers replace the Modesto Nuts, who relocate to San Bernardino as the Mariners’ Inland Empire 66ers, while the current 66ers become the Angels’ Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Ontario, last home to pro baseball in 1947, gets a modern 6,500-seat stadium tied to its airport’s identity. The logo features a bee zipping past a control tower, with Dodger blue, white, red, yellow, and sky blue accents. Uniforms echo the Dodgers’ classic style, and mascot Maverick promises high-energy antics.

The Dodgers’ farm system—Triple-A Oklahoma City, Double-A Tulsa, High-A Great Lakes, and Low-A Quakes—gains a vibrant addition. ONT Field’s “plane hangar” concessions and “runway” light shows aim to rival top ballparks. With Ontario’s growth and the Dodgers’ brand, the Buzzers are poised to boost the Inland Empire’s economy alongside the NHL’s Ontario Reign.

Season memberships are available at ontarioprofessionalbaseball.com, with opening day set for April 3, 2026. The Tower Buzzers are ready to soar, bringing affordable baseball thrills to Southern California.
