he Chicks are returning to the stage with the Taking the Long Way 20th Anniversary Tour, celebrating two decades of their album.
The tour kicks off on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the Fox Theatre in Detroit and will visit intimate theatres across the U.S. before wrapping with two nights at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, CA on November 1 and 2. The run includes stops in Chicago, Washington DC, New York City, Nashville, San Antonio, Austin, Seattle, and San Francisco.
This tour honors the enduring legacy of Taking the Long Way, the 2006 album that topped the Billboard 200, earned five Grammy Awards (including Album of the Year). For the first time ever, the trio—Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, and Emily Strayer—will perform the entire album in sequence each night, followed by a set of their biggest career-spanning hits.
Tickets go on sale soon. An artist presale begins Wednesday, June 3 at 10 am local time.
