The Pretty Reckless, the rock powerhouse fronted by Taylor Momsen, have kicked off an exciting new chapter in their career. On March 13, 2026, the band announced their fifth studio album, Dear God, set for release on June 26, 2026, via Fearless Records. This marks their first full-length project since 2021’s Death by Rock and Roll, promising a continuation of their signature raw, hard-hitting rock sound infused with deeper layers of vulnerability and introspection.

To herald the album’s arrival, The Pretty Reckless dropped the blistering new single “When I Wake Up,” a track that blends gritty blues-rock elements with punk energy. Momsen describes the song as a narrative of self-sabotage, explaining, “‘When I Wake Up’ is the story of a dream becoming a nightmare. When a life of excess leads you on a rollercoaster that is doomed to crash but you just can’t see it. It’s a good time…” The lyrics paint a vivid picture of inner turmoil and reckless abandon, with lines like “Wake up in the morning and I feel like this, yeah / Was calling out a bitch, being a Christian / And I was hoping don’t mend but I’ll do it again.” Produced by Momsen and guitarist Ben Phillips, the single showcases the band’s evolution while staying true to their roots in unapologetic rock ‘n’ roll.

Dear God builds on the momentum from last year’s standout single “For I Am Death,” which was hailed as one of the best songs of 2025. While the full tracklist hasn’t been revealed yet, the album is expected to explore themes of existential struggle, excess, and redemption, aligning with the provocative title and artwork that features a young girl sitting alone in a dimly lit room facing an inverted cross.

Fans can pre-order Dear God now in various formats, including limited-edition signed vinyls, CDs, and digital downloads, available through the band’s official website. With Momsen’s commanding vocals and the band’s tight instrumentation, this album is poised to solidify The Pretty Reckless’ status as one of modern rock’s most compelling acts.

Adding to the excitement, The Pretty Reckless have unveiled the “Dear God World Tour,” a massive 2026 trek that spans North America, Europe, the UK, and select dates in South America.
