More than three decades after first lighting up country radio, Brooks & Dunn continue to prove their catalog is built to last. The Country Music Hall of Famers today announced six new RIAA certifications, further cementing the enduring power of their hits.
“Red Dirt Road” has now been certified 3x Platinum. “Cowgirls Don’t Cry” and “Ain’t Nothin’ ’Bout You” have each reached 2x Platinum. “She’s Not the Cheatin’ Kind,” “Hard Workin’ Man,” and “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone” are newly certified Platinum. These songs, released long before streaming dominated music consumption, are still finding fresh audiences—clear evidence that Brooks & Dunn’s music remains as relevant today as when it first hit the airwaves.
The latest milestone arrives as the duo prepares to launch the expanded Neon Moon Tour next month. Direct support will come from either country-rocker David Lee Murphy or rising star Tucker Wetmore, with special guests including Willow Avalon, Kaitlin Butts, Caylee Hammack, and Angie K. Opening weekend features an already sold-out performance at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Ahead of the tour, Brooks & Dunn will make a rare appearance at the Grand Ole Opry on August 12.
Often described as the Energizer bunnies of country music for their ability to reinvent themselves while staying true to their sound, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn show no signs of slowing down. Following the acclaimed collaborative albums Reboot and Reboot II, the pair recently joined Morgan Wallen for stadium dates across North America. They continue to pack venues year after year and still hold the record for the longest-running country music residency in Las Vegas.
As the best-selling duo of all time with 20 No. 1 hits and a Grammy-winning, largely self-written catalog, Brooks & Dunn long ago secured their place in the American songbook. Their yin-and-yang blend of country and rock continues to fill stadium set lists and connect with new generations of fans. The newest RIAA certifications are simply the latest reminder that their music still resonates—loud and clear.
