WFC Aktobe has officially added midfielder Angelique Ikeda to its roster.
The St. Charles, Missouri native and former SIUE Cougar, joins the reigning Kazakh Womenโs Premier League champions as they continue their dominant 2026 campaign and prepare for UEFA Womenโs Champions League competition.
Ikeda starred at Francis Howell Central High School, where she earned Class 4 All-State honors and Region I co-Player of the Year recognition as a senior. She went on to a productive four-year career at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (2017-21), appearing in 87 matches with 9 goals and 6 assists. A consistent starter in the Ohio Valley Conference, she earned Offensive Player of the Week honors during her collegiate career and helped the Cougars in multiple seasons of conference competition.
Following her college career, Ikeda continued her development before making the move overseas. Her signing with Aktobe marks a significant step into professional football abroad, joining a club that claimed its first national title in 2025 by ending BIIK-Shymkentโs long dominance and has remained undefeated with a series of heavy victories early in the 2026 season.
