The modern adaptation of the 1980s cult classic, Road House, has had nearly 80 million viewers on Prime Video.
Amazon has officially confirmed that there will be a sequel and Jake Gyllenhaal is set to reprise his role as Elwood Dalton.
“As we saw this spring the world went crazy for a little movie called Road House,” Amazon MGM Studio chief Jennifer Salke said. “Nearly 80 million viewers globally have watched Road House. We like to watch these results like a baby.”
Connor McGregor confirmed he wouldn’t return as Knox in the sequel. He also wrote “Congrats guys, wish you all the very best of luck with it,” in the comments section of Prime Video’s announcement.
There’s no official release date for Road House 2 yet.
