Saint Louis redshirt sophomore guard Trey Green just earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors, and honestly, it’s well deserved after the way he lit it up last week.

The Billikens picked up a couple of big wins—first a nail-biter against George Washington, then a straight-up demolition of Dayton—and Trey was the guy leading the charge. He averaged 23.0 points per game, topping the team in scoring both nights. From deep, he was on fire: 13-of-20 from three (that’s 65%) and 16-of-26 overall from the field (61.5%). Add in about 4 rebounds and 2.5 assists a game, and yeah, he was pretty much everywhere.

Against GW, he dropped 23 points and hit six threes in what turned into a thrilling comeback win. Then he came right back at home against Dayton and took it to another level—seven threes (a career high), another 23 points, plus four assists in a blowout victory at Chaifetz Arena. The team as a whole was raining threes that night, but Trey was the spark.

On the season, he’s leading the entire A-10 in both made threes and three-point percentage, which is no small feat. He’s also sitting second in assist-to-turnover ratio, showing he’s not just a shooter—he’s smart with the ball too.

This is the fourth time this year a Billiken has grabbed Player of the Week: Amari McCottry back on November 17, Quentin Jones on December 8, Kellen Thames on January 19, and now Trey. That’s a program first—never had four or more in a single season before. It really speaks to how balanced and deep this team is under Coach Josh Schertz.

The Billikens are rolling right now at 21-1 overall and a perfect 9-0 in the A-10, sitting at No. 21 in the rankings with one of the longest active win streaks in Division I. Trey’s hot shooting has been a huge part of that surge since he transferred in from Xavier. He’s giving them that reliable perimeter threat they needed, and it’s paying off big time.

Next up, they keep the conference grind going—keep an eye on these guys as March gets closer. This could be a fun ride. #RollBills
