For the sixth consecutive year, the Dallas Cowboys have claimed the top spot in Sportico’s 2025 NFL Franchise Valuations Ranking, solidifying their status as the most valuable team in the National Football League. With a staggering valuation of $12.8 billion, the Cowboys not only lead the NFL but also stand as one of the most valuable sports franchises globally.

The 2025 valuation marks a significant 24% increase from their 2024 figure of $10.32 billion, pushing the Cowboys closer to the $13 billion mark.

Joining the Cowboys in the elite $10 billion club are the Los Angeles Rams ($10.43 billion) and the New York Giants ($10.25 billion), the only other NFL franchises to surpass this threshold in 2025. The New England Patriots ($8.76 billion) and San Francisco 49ers ($8.6 billion) round out the top five, but the Cowboys’ valuation exceeds the Rams by nearly $2.4 billion, highlighting their unmatched market influence.

Despite their on-field struggles, with no Super Bowl appearance since 1996, the Cowboys’ financial success underscores their ability to generate year-round buzz. Jerry Jones, who purchased the team for $140 million in 1989, has overseen an astonishing 8,000% appreciation in value, driven by innovative marketing and real estate ventures. Social media reactions have praised Jones’ business prowess while noting the irony of the team’s valuation amidst their lack of recent championship success.
