Good Charlotte dropped their new single “Stepper” with a music video, the second single from their upcoming album Motel Du Cap, set for release on August 8, 2025. This marks their first new music in seven years, reuniting original members Joel and Benji Madden, Paul Thomas, Billy Martin, and Dean Butterworth.
“Stepper” is a pop-punk anthem about perseverance, produced by Zakk Cervini and Jordan Fish. The Erik Rojas-directed video features the Madden brothers as motel maintenance managers, with patrons singing along, embodying the song’s uplifting message. The motel setting ties to the album’s inspiration from a 2023 gig at Hotel du Cap in France.
Motel Du Cap promises a mix of introspective and heavier tracks. Joel Madden noted its quirky, diverse sound in Kerrang!. The band will perform at the York State Fair (July 23, 2025), Oceans Calling (September 26, 2025), Aftershock (October 2, 2025), and more.
