The band—vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown—has spent the past six years honing a sound that weaves together evocative, century-old songs with fresh, roots-inspired arrangements.
The album features nine tracks, including reimagined covers of songs by artists such as Moby Grape (“It’s a Beautiful Day Today”), Blind Willie Johnson (“Soul of a Man”), The Low Anthem (“Ticket Taker”), and Low (“Everybody’s Song”). Plant’s history with Low’s music is notable, having previously covered their songs “Silver Rider” and “Monkey” on his 2010 album Band of Joy. The tour will visit cities such as Charlottesville, VA, Washington, D.C., Brooklyn, NY, Boston, MA, Toronto, ON, Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Seattle, WA, and Vancouver, BC, before concluding on November 22 in Los Angeles, CA.
