Multi-platinum rock band Daughtry has announced their highly anticipated EP, Shock To The System (Part Two), set for release on September 12, 2025, via Big Machine Rock. Following a monumental 2024 that saw back-to-back #1 singles on Active Rock charts with “Artificial” and “Pieces,” as well as sold-out tours alongside Breaking Benjamin, Staind, and Disturbed, the band continues to build momentum with this new project. The announcement comes alongside the release of their latest single, “The Bottom,” now available on all streaming platforms.
Shock To The System (Part Two) serves as the follow-up to 2024’s critically acclaimed Shock To The System (Part One), which marked significant milestones for Daughtry, including their first-ever #1 at Active Rock with “Artificial,” followed by another chart-topper, “Pieces.” The new EP promises to delve deeper into the raw honesty and sonic intensity that defined its predecessor, offering fans a glimpse into frontman Chris Daughtry’s personal and creative evolution.
“Shock To The System is about facing the things we’ve ignored and confronting the wake-up calls that force us to go deeper and get honest,” Chris Daughtry shared in a statement. “These songs unlocked something in me as a writer and a human being. Part Two is the result of that journey.”
The EP includes the previously released single “The Day I Die,” which dropped in April 2025 and set a haunting tone for this next chapter. The seven-track project features a tracklist that showcases Daughtry’s signature blend of commanding vocals and amplified production:
-

The newly released single, “The Bottom,” is a bold preview of what fans can expect from the EP. Built on a swaggering groove that cuts through a haze of distortion, the track highlights Chris Daughtry’s dynamic vocal range and hypnotic cadence. Lyrically, it captures a raw confession of resilience, with Daughtry singing, “I was down in a hole until I clawed my way back from the bottom.” The song’s emotional depth and sonic intensity embody the core themes of Shock To The System (Part Two), resonating with listeners through its unflinching honesty.
