Independent GRAMMY Award-winning artist Chance The Rapper has officially unveiled The Coloring Book 10 Year Anniversary Tour, a major North American run honoring the milestone tenth anniversary of his landmark 2016 mixtape Coloring Book.
Promoted by Live Nation, the tour launches on Tuesday, August 11 in Cleveland, Ohio at the House of Blues and will visit more than two dozen cities before concluding on Sunday, October 11 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at Citizens Live at The Wylie. The itinerary includes stops in Montreal, Toronto, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, and several other markets.
Coloring Book remains one of the most significant releases in modern hip-hop history. Upon its release in May 2016, Chance became the first independent artist to win a GRAMMY Award, taking home trophies for Best Rap Album and Best New Artist. The project fundamentally challenged industry norms by proving the viability of streaming-first releases and complete creative independence. Blending gospel, hip-hop, and soulful live instrumentation, the mixtape delivered an uplifting, spiritually charged sound that resonated deeply with audiences worldwide.
Standout collaborations with Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Kirk Franklin, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, T-Pain, and Saba helped elevate the project, while production contributions from longtime collaborators Nico Segal and Peter Cottontale (of The Social Experiment), along with Kaytranada, Brasstracks, and Francis and the Lights, created its rich sonic palette. Critics embraced it enthusiastically: Rolling Stone called it a “gospel-rap masterpiece,” The New York Times described Chance as “a crusader and a pop savant,” and Complex positioned the album as “a defining moment for independent artists.”
