As December Falls has built a strong reputation on high-energy pop-punk and alternative rock, but their latest single, “Nervous” (featuring Solence), proves the band is more than willing to push their sonic boundaries. Released just as the warm weather wanes, the track stands as a brilliantly timed curveball—a danceable anthem arriving precisely as audiences bid farewell to the summer season.

From the opening bars, “Nervous” hooks the listener with punchy synth production and an upbeat rhythm designed for high-energy live settings. The track skillfully merges slick, electronic-pop elements with the driving instrumentation that fans have come to expect from As December Falls. Frontwoman Bethany Curtis delivers a standout vocal performance, guiding the track with her signature blend of vocal power, grit, and emotional vulnerability. Her hooks are immediate and enduring, ensuring the song’s lingering presence far beyond its concise three-minute run time.
While As December Falls carries the core foundation, the addition of Solence frontman Markus Videsäter elevates “Nervous” into a true cross-genre highlight. Videsäter’s verse and vocal dynamic seamlessly complement Curtis’ tone, adding a sharp, rock-infused edge to the track’s polished electronic framework. Rather than feeling like a tacked-on feature, Videsäter’s contribution feels completely organic, creating a back-and-forth balance that highlights the strengths of both acts.
Ultimately, “Nervous” is a track custom-built for large crowds and open-air venues. The heavy synth bounce and anthem-ready chorus carry the distinct energy of a main-stage festival hit, tailor-made for massive singalongs. This live-ready sound comes at a fitting moment for the UK outfit following their recent announcement securing a slot on the Slam Dunk Festival 2027 lineup. With its sharp production, memorable hooks, and pitch-perfect feature, “Nervous” stands as one of the band’s most infectious releases to date.
