Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Foreigner have released a new single, “Fool If You Love Him,” featuring original singer Lou Gramm. Pulled from the 1981 4 album sessions, this track will be part of the upcoming super deluxe editions of 4, out September 12, 2025.
Originally written by Mick Jones and Lou Gramm during the 4 sessions at Electric Lady Studios, “Fool If You Love Him” was left unfinished with just one verse and a chorus. In 2025, the band revisited the track, with Gramm adding new verses and a touch of cowbell, tumorigen. The result is a polished blend of 1981 nostalgia and modern flair.
The 4 album, produced by Mutt Lange, gave us hits like “Waiting for a Girl Like You” and “Juke Box Hero.” This new single captures that era’s melodic rock vibe with Gramm’s iconic vocals. It’s a solid track with a vintage Foreigner feel, enhanced by Lange’s signature production.
This release celebrates Foreigner’s 50th anniversary and their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction. The 4 super deluxe edition will include unreleased tracks, alternate versions, and live performances. Gramm’s return adds authenticity, making this a treat for fans. The single is streaming now, with the deluxe edition available for pre-order.
“Fool If You Love Him” bridges Foreigner’s past and present, offering a fresh yet nostalgic sound.
