Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Foreigner have unveiled a powerful new cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s classic “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” the latest release from their upcoming live album and concert film soundtrack, In the Eye of the Storm. The album is set to arrive on July 24 via Green Hill/Sun Label Group/Virgin Music Group.

The track, featuring the combined vocal talents of Lou Gramm, Kelly Hansen, and Luis Maldonado, is now available on all digital platforms. A new music video featuring exclusive footage from the forthcoming concert film is also streaming on the band’s official YouTube channel.

Founding member and guitarist Mick Jones shared his thoughts on the special moment:

“50 years ago, I had a vision for a band. I wanted the best musicians I could find to perform and record the best songs we could create. FOREIGNER succeeded largely because of the wonderful lead vocalists that I was fortunate enough to work with. Lou Gramm, Kelly Hansen, and Luis Maldonado lit the way to the fulfillment of my original vision. To hear them sing together the song that started it all was a very special moment for me. Their performance of ‘Feels Like The First Time’ and Luis Maldonado’s passionate rendition of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ are emotional highlights. The incredible film and album feature all three of them along with the stellar musicians that are FOREIGNER today. In The Eye Of The Storm is a fitting centerpiece in the celebration of 50 years of FOREIGNER.”

In the Eye of the Storm serves as the official soundtrack to Foreigner’s landmark 50th anniversary concert film, captured at Ellis Island and Brooklyn’s DUMBO House. Filmed on a closed set in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty, the Ellis Island performance became the emotional core of the project.

The historic show nearly didn’t happen. As the band prepared to take the stage, torrential rain, thunder, and lightning swept across New York Harbor. Undeterred, Foreigner pushed forward, delivering one of the most electrifying performances of their five-decade career in the midst of the storm.

The first single from the project, a live version of the band’s breakthrough hit “Feels Like The First Time,” dropped on April 17, complete with its own video featuring behind-the-scenes and concert footage.

To mark the milestone, Foreigner is launching special limited-edition anniversary merchandise collections that celebrate 50 years of hits. Details on the releases, merch, and the upcoming feature film — produced by Vertigo Live Productions and slated for theatrical release worldwide in Summer 2026 — are available at:

Pre-orders for In the Eye of the Storm are open now.

As one of rock’s most enduring and successful bands, Foreigner continues to deliver powerful performances and timeless music that resonate with fans old and new. This latest chapter in their 50th anniversary celebration promises to be a must-have for any rock collection.
