O.A.R. bring their Three Decades Tour to Saint Louis Music Park on Saturday, August 29, with special guests Gavin DeGraw and KT Tunstall.
The Maryland-bred band (…of a Revolution) is marking 30 years with a celebratory run that hits Maryland Heights for a 6:30 p.m. show. Doors open an hour earlier at 5:30 p.m. at the outdoor venue at the Centene Community Ice Center (750 Casino Center Drive).
Formed in 1996 in Rockville, Maryland, O.A.R. built a devoted following the old-fashioned way—constant touring, strong live shows, and a blend of rock, reggae, and jam-band energy. Core members include Marc Roberge (vocals/guitar), Richard On (guitar), Chris Culos (drums), and Jerry DePizzo (sax/guitar). The group has sold out Madison Square Garden multiple times, notched multi-platinum success, and racked up more than a billion streams. Signature tracks like “Shattered (Turn the Car Around),” “Hey Girl,” “Love and Memories,” “This Town,” “Peace,” “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker,” and “City on Down” still dominate their sets, mixed with deeper cuts and the free-flowing extended jams fans expect.
Recent Three Decades Tour setlists have featured a mix of openers such as “Black Rock,” “Untitled,” or “Dangerous Connection,” mid-set staples like “Love and Memories,” “This Town,” and “Hey Girl,” and closers/encores built around “City on Down” (often with medleys), “Peace,” and the classic “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker.” Expect high energy, audience sing-alongs, and that communal vibe the band has always delivered.
Special guests add extra draw. Gavin DeGraw brings piano-driven pop-soul hits including “I Don’t Want to Be,” “Chariot,” and “Not Over You.” Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall delivers her signature mix of folk-rock energy, highlighted by “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” and “Suddenly I See.” The three-act bill makes for a full night of melodic, accessible rock.
Saint Louis Music Park is a covered outdoor amphitheater (roughly 4,000–4,500 capacity) that transforms from the ice center’s outdoor rink in summer. It’s an intimate setting by amphitheater standards, with plaza space, concessions, and a relatively straightforward fan experience. The venue enforces a clear-bag policy and is cashless for concessions and merchandise. Parking is available on-site (general/ADA typically $20, premium higher) and is paid upon arrival; rideshare drop-off is at the circle drive in front of the Centene Community Ice Center.
Tickets remain on sale through standard outlets (Live Nation/Ticketmaster and secondary markets). Prices have been listed in the $50–$200+ range depending on section. The show is part of a busy stretch for the tour—O.A.R. plays Franklin, Tennessee the night before and Kansas City the night after.
For St. Louis fans who’ve followed the band since the early-2000s college-radio days or discovered them later through radio hits, this is a strong summer stop. Three decades in, O.A.R. still lean into the joyful, communal live experience that built their career.
