Boston ska-punk veterans Big D and the Kids Table are heading back out on the road next month for an extensive North American tour supporting their acclaimed new album, The Good Ole American Saturday Night, out now via SideOneDummy Records.

The run kicks off August 27 at TV Eye in New York City and takes the long-running band through the East Coast before swinging south of the border for four October dates in Tecate, Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Mexico City. After that, the group returns for a stretch of northeastern U.S., Canadian, and Midwest shows, wrapping with two special “A Nightmare Before Halloween” performances.

Los Angeles ska-punk outfit Matamoska will join Big D for the August and September dates. Devon Kay & The Solutions handle support duties on the October U.S. and Canadian run. The tour closes with “A Nightmare Before Halloween” shows featuring ska-punk veterans The Pietasters alongside Devon Kay & The Solutions—October 23 at Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and October 24 at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club.

Frontman Dave McWane said: “Thank you for loving the album, everyone. We have been over-the-top excited to get it to you! Thanks to our friends all around the world—the U.S., U.K., EU, Japan, China, Southeast Asia, Australia, and you, Canada! We can’t wait to hit the road and see you all!”

Produced by Joe Gittleman of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Matt Appleton of Reel Big Fish, The Good Ole American Saturday Night finds the band firing on all cylinders more than 30 years into their career. The record moves seamlessly between high-energy ska-punk anthems, laid-back reggae grooves, heartfelt songwriting, and massive singalong choruses. It draws inspiration from every chapter of the group’s catalog—from the punk urgency of Good Luck to the reggae influence of Strictly Rude—while celebrating individuality, creativity, community, and finding joy during challenging times.

Led by the singles “Whiplash,” “Right Now,” and “Scatterbrain,” the album has drawn strong early praise. Bearded Gentlemen Music called it “a giant celebration, comforting hug, and one hell of a party all rolled into one,” adding that it’s “tight and overflowing with love and positivity.” The Boston Herald noted that the record captures “everything ’90s kids loved about the scene back in the day,” while other outlets have highlighted its joyful energy, emotional sincerity, and the band’s continued evolution without losing the spirit that made them one of ska-punk’s most beloved acts.

More than three decades after forming in Boston’s vibrant punk and ska scene, Big D and the Kids Table remain a vital live force. This fall’s tour gives fans across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada the chance to hear material from the new album alongside favorites spanning the group’s deep catalog.
