The St. Louis Ambush have announced the signing of forward Keaton Woods to a two-year contract, bolstering the team’s lineup as they gear up for their 13th season in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL).
Keaton Woods brings a wealth of experience to St. Louis, having spent three seasons with Utica City FC from 2022 to 2025. During his time there, he showcased his scoring prowess and playmaking ability, racking up 23 goals and 15 assists in 47 games. His dynamic presence on the field is expected to elevate the Ambush as they aim to climb the MASL ranks.
A Chicago native who also grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Woods made a name for himself at Washington High School, where he earned all-state, all-American, and player of the year honors. His soccer journey began earlier with various youth clubs, laying the foundation for a standout career. Before going pro, Woods contributed to the Des Moines Menace’s USL2 championship-winning team and gained valuable experience with Real Monarchs (MLS Next Pro) and Real Salt Lake (MLS).
“I am super excited to be a part of this next chapter of the St. Louis Ambush,” Woods said. “I am ready to help take this team to the next level of the MASL. St. Louis fans deserve to have a team they can consistently count on to be at the top of the league, and I will work hard every day to do my part to provide them with that.”
Ambush co-owner and head coach Jeff Locker is equally enthusiastic about the signing. “Keaton has shown talent in his first three years in the league, and we believe he can develop into an even bigger contributor in the seasons ahead,” Locker said.
The Ambush are set to kick off their season this fall, with all home games taking place at The Family Arena in St. Charles, MO.
