Following their debut album Yume, FLOYA return with their second post-album single “In Fiction” — a bold step into collaborative territory. For the first time in their career, the duo invited guest artists to be part of the vision, teaming up with Australian musician and producer AIRPORTS and UK-based Grumble Bee, the solo project of Jack Bennett, also known as the lead vocalist of Lonely The Brave.

The collaboration came together naturally: FLOYA had long admired AIRPORTS’ work, unaware that he frequently divides his time between London and Castrop-Rauxel, only a short distance from the band’s studio. A spontaneous meeting quickly turned into a writing session, laying the foundation for “In Fiction.” Grumble Bee’s involvement followed soon after, born from a casual online exchange that sparked an immediate creative connection.

“In Fiction” unites three distinct vocalists in one track, blending soaring melodies, electronic textures, and FLOYA’s rock-driven roots into a cinematic journey. The song itself was inspired by the idea of waking from a dream so vivid it feels like reality — a surreal narrative of living an entire lifetime only to awaken in an unfamiliar world where nothing and no one from that dream ever truly existed.

The result is FLOYA’s most ambitious and collaborative effort to date, a track that highlights individuality while creating something greater than the sum of its parts.
