GET THE SHOT ARE BACK WITH VIDEO FOR BRAND NEW SINGLE “TORTURE YOUR CORPSE” — WATCH

Torture Your Corpse” marks a shift in attitude and resolve for Quebec City’s heavy scene trailblazers GET THE SHOT. While celebrating the addition of a new vocalist (Mathieu Dhani) and the return of the original guitar player, the recent single sees the band undergo a transformation into a new persona and exploring a more visceral sound, while sticking to its hardcore roots.
The song emerged as a consolidation of the band’s current position at this early stage of a new chapter. Its gruesome lyrics are a metaphor for the anguish and fury most people keep inside, utilizing the image of a serial killer to deliver the final blows.
On this standalone release, GET THE SHOT dig deeper, incorporating elements of their early work while opening the doors to future artistic endeavors. After 16 years of collaboration and countless tours around the globe, the band is driven to explore new territories and show the world that the hardcore and metal communities can join forces to unleash the anger required to be heard.
