Yorkshire melodic metallers Caskets have today released the video for new single “Closure” from their forthcoming new album The Only Heaven You’ll Know, to be released November 7 via SharpTone Records.

Speaking on the new song, Matt Flood says, “‘Closure’ speaks about the breaking point in a toxic cycle, that moment when you realize the answers you search for will never come. Then having to walk away knowing there will always be this cell of wonder and confusion clouding your mind. This song talks about coming from a place of asking ‘Won’t you stop me at all? I wonder whether we’re both to blame.’ Being caught up in lies, deceit, fighting battles you have no actual interest in winning, just yearning for answers, for reason to the madness. I’ve learnt that closure sometimes doesn’t come from the words or actions of others, but from finally saying it’s over, it’s okay, and walking away.”

The frontman of the Leeds quartet adds that the album is “the sound of me falling apart in real time. Every song is a confession. About love that rots you from the inside, about pretending you’re okay when you’re drowning, about trying to find peace in a world that makes you feel nothing. The Only Heaven You’ll Know isn’t about salvation — it’s about surviving the wreckage when it never comes. Grieving the parts of myself I had to bury just to cope. Doing anything I could to block out the noise. This record isn’t a cry for help; it’s me trying to make sense of the chaos around me, and find a way through to the other side. These songs are my scars, proof I made it through, even when I thought I was doomed.”

There’s an art to looking back — and an even greater one in knowing how to move forward. For Caskets, 2025 marks a new era built on reflection, resilience, and reinvention. After the breakout success of debut album Lost Souls — catapulting them across the U.S. and Europe with appearances at Download and Slam Dunk — the band took a deeper, more introspective turn with the follow-up Reflections. Where the first album channeled frontman Flood’s personal struggles, Reflections offered a broader lens, weaving together the individual stories, tensions, and triumphs that shaped the band as a unit.

The often difficult second album became a vital step in Caskets’ evolution — not only musically, with its blend of soaring hooks and ambient power, but also interpersonally, fostering the kind of creative collaboration that bands only reach through honesty and hard-earned growth.

Now in 2025, with over 350 million career streams to date, Caskets return stronger and more focused than ever. With new a new album on the horizon, the band continues to explore the space between melodic vulnerability and explosive catharsis, connecting deeply with a fanbase that grows with every release.
