Guitarist Jason Hook introduced his new band FLAT BLACK last year. The former Five Finger Death Punch guitarist teamed up with a trio of young and talented musicians and signed with Fearless Records. Today, the band is thrilled to announce its debut album Dark Side of the Brain arrived in the summer.  The album was produced by Hook and Chris Collier (Korn), and recorded at both Hook’s home studio and The Hideout. Get it here or here.

Today, the band shared a live video for “A Bit of Lightning.” Watch it here.

“We wanted to put together a ‘life on tour’-themed video for our single ‘A Bit of Lightning,” Hook says. “The video features candid scenes from our recent touring cycle. To me, this video gives the viewer a snapshot of what our life looks like on the road. I can tell you, if it looks like we’re having fun, it’s authentic.”

Fresh off a fall tour with Godsmack, this video captures Flat Black in their natural habitat. It will grab you by the nape of your neck and drop you right into the pit at a Flat Black show! It also offers a behind-the-scenes look at the band interacting with fans and each other. If you ever wanted a bird’s eye view into life with Flat Black, this video is it!
