ST. LOUIS – Forward Jax Kerr (Muskogee, Okla.) has signed an athletics scholarship agreement to attend Saint Louis University and play basketball for the Billikens, head coach Josh Schertz announced today. Kerr will begin his four years of eligibility in the 2025-26 season.
“Jax is someone who we identified early on as a great fit for us and will meld perfectly into our system on both ends,” Schertz said. “His ability at 6-11 to protect the paint with his elite shot blocking and on the other end to open it up with his shooting gravity is invaluable. Jax’s potential is enormous, but the most attractive part for us he is a young man who embraces the work and is fully committed to reaching his vast ceiling as a player.”
Kerr is entering his senior season at Owasso High School outside of Tulsa, Okla. Last year, he helped the Rams capture their first-ever state championship.
Kerr played for Team Trae Young last summer and averaged 11.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks. He shot better than 40 percent from the arc, as well.
Kerr joins Cam Hutson (East Lansing, Mich.) and Luke Laczkowski (Dallas, Texas) in the Billikens’ 2025 recruiting class so far.
