SLU Statement on VCU Game

Saint Louis University has initiated an investigation into last night’s fan altercation during the Billikens’ men’s basketball game vs. VCU at Chaifetz Arena.

SLU is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for fans and guests at all of its events. The Department of Athletics, the Department of Public Safety, Oak View Group (OVG) and other campus partners are working together to review safety protocols to ensure a positive experience for patrons and teams at Chaifetz Arena.

Fans are expected to demonstrate respect toward one another, officials, and team personnel. Inappropriate comments or actions directed at officials, student-athletes, coaches or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from Chaifetz Arena.

Fans are urged to report any issues they witness to Chaifetz Arena personnel so they can be addressed promptly.
