Jax Kerr Tabbed A-10 Rookie of the Week

Coming off his first career double-double, Saint Louis freshman forward Jax Kerr was named the Atlantic 10 Conference’s Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week on Monday.

Kerr registered career highs of 12 points and 10 rebounds in Sunday’s 114-33 win over Principia at Chaifetz Arena. He also recorded four blocks, one assist and one steal.

It is the Billikens’ first A-10 Rookie of the Week since Gibson Jimerson won the honor twice in the 2019-20 season. Kerr is the third Billiken to earn an A-10 weekly honor this year – Amari McCottry was the co-Player of the Week Nov. 17, and Quentin Jones earned Player of the Week honors Dec. 8.

The Billikens begin Atlantic 10 Conference play on Wednesday, hosting Saint Joseph’s at Chaifetz Arena. Game time on New Year’s Eve is 3 p.m.
