Lisch, Australia Top Serbia to Set Up Showdown with USA

Kevin Lisch and the Australian Boomers defeated Serbia 95-80 Monday in the second game of the preliminary round in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Australia moves to 2-0 in preliminary round play. Next up is a Wednesday showdown with the USA at 5 p.m. (CT) on NBC Sports Network.

Lisch played 18 minutes and hit a pair of game-tying free throws in the third quarter. In Australia’s opening game against France, Lisch played 21 minutes and recorded seven points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field.
