WASHINGTON, D.C. – Saint Louis senior guard Gibson Jimerson was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week, the league announced today. He shares the honor with UMass’ Rahsool Diggins.
Jimerson led the Billikens with 23.5 ppg game last week and shot 53.3 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range.
In Saint Louis’ win over first-place VCU, Jimerson scored 26 points to lead the way for the Bills. He followed that with a 21-point effort against Dayton.
For the season, Jimerson leads the team and is fourth in the A-10 in scoring with 17.8 ppg. He is second in the conference with 3.05 3-pointers made per game.
It is the second time this year Jimerson earned A-10 Player of the Week honors. He was twice named A-10 Rookie of the Week during his freshman campaign.
Jimerson and Diggins will face either on Tuesday night as the Billikens head to Amherst to take on the UMass Minutemen in a 6 p.m. (CT) tip. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
