Former Saint Louis University men’s soccer player Vedad Ibisevic scored a goal on soccer’s biggest stage. Playing for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Sunday, Ibisevic scored his country’s first goal ever in the World Cup in a 2-1 loss to Argentina.

Video of the goal is available here.

Ibisevic, who subbed in, scored late in the match for Bosnia. Ibisevic and his team now plays Nigeria in Group F on Saturday, June 21, at 5 p.m.

The United States, which features former Billiken Brad Davis, plays its first game of the World Cup tonight at 5 p.m. against Ghana.
