This Halloween, Subway® is inviting Americans to confess the lunchtime horrors they’ve had elsewhere and serving up the antidote: thousands of free, freshly prepared Footlongs.

The $20 smoothie that left you hungry. The $25 salad that wasn’t worth it. The greasy burger that weighed you down. Lunch regret has plenty of company: 66% of U.S. adults say they at least sometimes regret their lunch choice, according to a new Subway-commissioned survey.**

Subway is inviting everyone who has a lunch horror to confess at LunchtimeHorrors.com Oct. 12 through 16 for a chance to receive one of thousands of $15 Subway eGift cards that can be used to purchase a Footlong featuring freshly sliced meats, loads of veggies and bread baked daily. Full terms can be found at LunchtimeHorrors.com.

The giveaway builds on Subway’s new Feed Your SUBconscious™ brand platform, launched in September, featuring actor and comedian Will Arnett as the inner voice steering you toward a better food option: a freshly prepared meal at Subway.

“We make sandwiches, not time machines. But we can give people something to look forward to at their next lunch,” said Jeff Klein, Chief Marketing Officer, Subway. “Feed Your SUBconscious is an invitation to listen to that inner voice that knows what you really want. This Halloween, we’re giving Americans a chance to act on it, with thousands of freshly prepared Footlongs on us.”

“As your SUBconscious, I’m here to remind you how much you want a freshly made Subway Footlong,” Arnett said. “This Halloween, they’re giving away thousands of them. I could say more, but ‘free Footlong’ really does most of the work.”

Among the reasons Americans say they’ve regretted a lunch choice:**

  • 34% say what they ate didn’t fill them up.
  • 28% say it wasn’t worth what they paid.
  • 35% say they ate unhealthy food.

Also, 70% of U.S. consumers say they regularly skip lunch at least once a week.

This Halloween, let the skeletons out of your lunchbox. Confess and find full giveaway terms at LunchtimeHorrors.com.
