“An explosive blend, drawing on the legacy of riot grrrl and the raw energy of hardcore punk. Unleashes its full force, recalling classics such as Minor Threat or Discharge, but with a more modern edge. We Might Die announce themselves as one of the most exciting new voices in punk: sharp, unrelenting, and with nothing to soften.”- Loud Women
“A raw, high-impact punk band turning personal struggle into fast, fearless songs and explosive live shows.”- Rebel Noise
Emerging punk trio We Might Die return with Iced Out, a four-song EP that captures the band’s raw urgency, political edge, and unfiltered emotional intensity. Featuring the band’s recent singles “Iced Out” and “Shit Cycle,” the release also includes ferocious, high-speed takes on “GFY” and “Police Truck,” two covers that feel less like tributes and more like statements of purpose.

Formed in 2024, We Might Die channel personal struggle and political fury into explosive punk anthems. The trio — Liv (bass/vocals), Travis (guitar/vocals), and Chance (drums) — transform anxiety, depression, and lived experience into songs built for confrontation, connection, and release.
Fronted by fearless teenage bassist/vocalist Liv Shirley, the band pairs zero-filter lyrics with razor-sharp hooks and relentless speed. Behind the kit is her father Chance, a scene veteran with nearly 25 years in punk, grindcore, and metal, whose Animal-like intensity fuels the band’s explosive rhythm section. Travis rounds out the lineup with dynamic songwriting, intricate riff work, and searing guitar leads that give the band its sonic bite.
On Iced Out, that chemistry hits a new level — tight, volatile, and impossible to ignore.
“This EP is loud, fast and angry,” says Liv Shirley. “It is pure unadulterated feminine rage and we are convinced that things only change when women get loud and angry.”
The EP’s two covers carry deep personal and political weight for the band.
“‘GFY’ by Amyl and the Sniffers was one of the very first covers we ever learned as a band,” Liv explains. “I originally dedicated this song to this guy in my seventh grade science class who told me to ‘go back to the kitchen.’ I was livid and this song gave me a healthy outlet to exterminate that rage. As we played more shows, I began dedicating it to any sexist, racist, misogynistic person I interacted with. It only felt right to add our version of ‘GFY’ to this EP — and the best part is it’s twice as fast as the original.”
The band’s take on Dead Kennedys’ “Police Truck” traces back to a moment of direct action.
“We learned this song originally for our first ‘Fuck ICE’ fundraiser at a DIY generator skatepark show in June 2025 when the ICE raids hit Vegas hard,” Liv says. “All the proceeds went to our local undocumented relief mutual aid fund. We quickly became known for performing this song, and it’s unfortunate how accurate it still is today. It only felt right to include it.”
Despite forming only recently, We Might Die have already begun carving out a reputation on the live circuit — opening for Catbite, performing the official Punk Rock Bowling Kickoff Show, and delivering sets that hit far beyond their years. With Iced Out, they solidify their identity: fast, furious, and unwilling to stay quiet.
