ENERGIZER PARK TO HOST ST. LOUIS CITY SC’S FIRST-EVER CLUB DOUBLEHEADER CELEBRATING FAMILIES AND KIDS

March 30th will be Soccer Sunday, packed with full day of competition with both CITY SC and CITY2 matches, as well as player meet and greet and kid-friendly activities

Double the games, double the fun for the entire family! On Sunday, March 30, Energizer Park will host St. Louis CITY SC’s first-ever club doubleheader matchday, with CITY SC taking on Austin FC at 1:15 p.m., presented by UMSL; followed by CITY2 hosting Austin FC II at 4:30 p.m., resulting in a supersized edition of Family Day at the park.  

As an added benefit, all first team match ticketholders will automatically receive a ticket to the CITY2 match, which will be available in their SeatGeek account on matchday. Additionally, during CITY2 warm-ups, fans will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with first team players.

“This doubleheader is going to be one of the most action-packed days ever at Energizer Park – what a way for our fans to experience CITY soccer all in one day,” said Matt Sebek, Chief Experience Officer, St. Louis CITY SC. “With both our first team and CITY2 having incredible starts to their respective seasons, March 30th promises to be a day of thrilling, competitive soccer. We are excited to give our fans a double dose of the best matchday experiences in MLS and MLS NEXT Pro.”

For those tuning into the action from home, CITY vs. Austin FC will broadcast live locally on FOX (KTVI Channel 2) and MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. CITY2 vs. Austin FC II will broadcast live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

ADDITIONAL DOUBLEHEADER DETAILS: CITY BLOCK PARTY, RIDE TO THE MATCH, FIRST TEAM PLAYER MEET AND GREET

With CITY SC’s first team match an afternoon kickoff, the club is encouraging fans to be environmentally friendly and consider cycling or walking to the soccer match and utilize the accessible Brickline Greenway that runs through the Energizer Park stadium district or by taking Metro Transit. Bike parking is available via racks in the CITY Garage (1950 Olive St.) as well as on Lou Fusz Plaza and the west side of Energizer Park, with help from Great Rivers Greenway volunteers. Metro Transit RIDE ON Crew will be on the Union Station MetroLink platform sharing special gifts for those who chose transit.

At 10:00 a.m. the CITY Block Party on Lou Fusz Plaza will kick off the day of activities with DJ Mahf on the turntable. Fans can shop the 2025 Ravioli Boyz collection (T-shirts, hat, scarf and patches), nosh on food from Steve’s Hot Dogs and Balkan Treat Box, and enjoy yard games, giveaways and other activities. Fans 21 and older will be able to enjoy a Bloody Mary bar.

Energizer Park gates open at 11:30 a.m. for first team match ticketholders, with the first 10,000 fans receiving the official 2025 first team poster.

After the final whistle of the first team match, ticketholders are invited to stay for the CITY2 match. (CITY2 match tickets will automatically appear in their SeatGeek account that day.) Energizer Park’s upper concourse will close and all fans staying for CITY2 will be ushered into general admission seating on the lower concourse. No stadium re-entry will be allowed.

Between the two matches will be an intermission featuring kid-friendly entertainment, and fans will have the opportunity to meet some first team players in Sections 104-107. Also during this time, fans will be able to register to win a spot to go on the field and hold the Center Circle banner as part of the CITY2 pre-match ceremony.

Finalists from St. Louis Teen Talent Competition will perform the National Anthem for both matches that day.

Energizer Park gates will open for CITY2 ticketholders at approximately 3:30 p.m. CITY2 vs. Austin FC will kick off at 4:30 p.m. and will feature in-match entertainment by DJ Sinamin as well as the kid-friendly Supporter Camp, where aspiring noise-makers can occupy the North End of Energizer Park during the match to play instruments, wave flags and join in chants led by Fleur de Noise. In continuing with CITY2 matchday tradition, CITY2 players will sign autographs after the match.

TIMELINE OF EVENTS

10:00 a.m.: CITY Block Party begins on Lou Fusz Plaza

11:30 a.m.: Energizer Park gates open (first team match ticketholders only)

1:15 p.m.: CITY SC vs. Austin FC kickoff

3:30 p.m. (approx.): Energizer Park gates open for CITY2 ticketholders

3:30-4:30 p.m. (approx.): Intermission/CITY2 warm-ups; first team match ticketholders can stay to watch CITY2 match (no stadium re-entry); first team player meet and greet

4:30 p.m.: CITY2 vs. Austin FC II match kickoff
