Hoots Land Local Pitcher Carter Cox for 2025 Prospect League Season

Zumwalt South-product posted a sub-1.00 ERA in his senior season with the Bulldogs

O’FALLON, Mo. – The O’Fallon Hoots, proud members of the Prospect League, announced the signing of pitcher Carter Cox for the 2025 summer season. Carter comes to O’Fallon as a true freshman from Northern Illinois University for the 2025 Prospect League season.

Carter comes to the Hoots after completing his senior season at Fort Zumwalt South High School. The 6-foot, 195-pound native of St. Peter, Missouri is a top-10 pitcher in the Missouri class of 2024. In his senior season, Carter posted a 7-3 record with a 0.93 ERA as a senior, striking out 86 batters in 60.3 innings pitched. As a junior, he made 11 appearances and struck out 95 batters in 59.3 innings, while posting a 2.01 ERA. Carter will compete with the Northern Illinois Huskies during the 2025 spring season before joining the Hoots for their fifth season in the Prospect League.
