The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game series and 12-game homestand with an 8-1 victory over the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A, Baltimore Orioles) on Saturday night at AutoZone Park.
Starting pitcher Mason Molina (4-2) worked his fourth straight scoreless start in the win. The left-handed pitcher tossed 5.2 innings, allowed one hit, walked three and struck out eight to push his scoreless innings streak to 20.2 innings over his last four starts. Austin Love worked a scoreless ninth to close out the win.
Memphis took the lead in the bottom of the first inning on a left fielder Zach Levenson RBI single, his 14th RBI at Triple-A in 10 games with Memphis. Catcher Andy Yerzy blew the game open with a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning. First baseman Bligh Madris added a blast of his own in the bottom of the seventh, a solo shot out to right field.

The Memphis Redbirds return to AutoZone Park on Sunday, September 13 to wrap up a six-game series and 12-game homestand against the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A, Baltimore Orioles) with first pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m. CDT.
