Replace It All” is the third single that the band has released that will be featured on This Is Not An Exit The two other previously released singles are “Brighter Lights” and “Dressed For a Funeral.”

The band says, “’Replace It All’” is about surrendering yourself to someone else and letting them save you from your past. It’s how it feels to be lost at the end of the world, caught in between love and fear, needing to be rescued.”

The band continues about the music video saying “Sometimes the road to get to where you want is long and winding, and even when you’re close enough to see it, you’ve still got a ways to go. The video for ‘Replace It All’ nods to the journey of our band. Now we’re in New York, and we’re putting out our first record. It’s been a long while, but we’re just getting started.”

In support of their new music they have announced their 2025 Winter Headline Tour. The tour kicks off January 26 2025. Tickets will be on sale Friday, October 18 at https://thebackfires.com/.  See all tour dates below.

About The Backfires
Formed in 2018, when Alex Gomez (vocals) left New York to study in London and met Harry Ruprecht (guitar) and Max Wanduragala (drums). The three of them then returned to the states in 2022 and recruited Matt Walter (bass) before they recorded their debut EP, ‘Consider the Backfires’ in the hazy midst’s of lockdown. In 202the band returned to London for a stint where they recorded singles, ‘Blindsided’ and ‘Reflections On My TV’ and are now permanently based out of New York.

The band are a formidable live act, having toured the US with the Silversun Pickups, Courteeners, and the Mysterines as well as headlining their own shows, and with more new music to come in 2024 it looks this could be the year the band make waves around the world.
