Matt Stell is one of the biggest names on a list of many that are climbing the Nashville artists ranks, and just 24 hours after playing the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday night he joined the Arch City Music podcast to discuss how he started his music career while playing college basketball, golfing with John Daly, and, most importantly, his upcoming show on June 24th at The Camp at Lake Wappapello. Matt’s music career dates back to the 2000s with his original band “The Crashers,” but it wasn’t until a few years after moving to Nashville in 2014 that his first #1 single, “Prayed For You,” made waves in the country music world and, as Matt said himself, “changed [his] career overnight.”
“Prayed For You” went on to become Stell’s first Platinum Single, and, according to Matt himself in our exclusive interview, is close to reaching double-Platinum certification. His second #1 hit – “Everywhere But On” – is not far behind, having reached Gold certification in November of 2020, and his newest single, “Man Made,” is next in line to join them on the charts and in the record books.
