Finish the regular season with an impressive win followed by top placement in the post-season complexion.

Both respective boxes were filled with an orange marker.

On Saturday night in Indianapolis, the defending WFA Pro champs thumped Indiana Valor, 64-6, to finish the regular season undefeated (6-0).

With the road victory, the SLAM claimed the number one seed, and home field advantage, in the upcoming four-team WFA Pro American Conference playoffs that start June 28.

St. Louis struck early and often over Indiana, a newly-christened franchise that competes in WFA Division 2. After one quarter, the SLAM posted a 28-0 lead.

The Valor (2-4) claimed their only touchdown in the second quarter, but St. Louis kept the pedal to the metal and comfortably sported a 50-6 cushion at intermission.

Solo trips to the end zone during the final two quarters resulted in the 58-point duke that pushed the SLAM’s consecutive winning streak to 15 games.

With regular season dominance displayed, St. Louis obtained the top position overall in the WFA’s calculated rankings, leading to home field advantage throughout the conference playoffs.

The SLAM hosts fourth-seeded Nebraska (4-2) in the WFA Pro American semifinals two Saturdays from now. If successful, they would face the winner of the Minnesota Vixen/Cali War semifinal in a July 13 home tussle that funnels to the league’s Pro trophy finale later that month in Canton, Ohio.

Ticket information for the upcoming SLAM game will be announced shortly.
