The St. Louis Cardinals are closing the book on their May schedule — and what a turnaround it was. After a promising 3-1 start in March, April brought struggles, with the team finishing 11-16. May didn’t start much better, with two straight losses, but the Cardinals rebounded spectacularly, rattling off nine consecutive wins. They are 18-8 heading into the game of the month on Saturday.

Following their Saturday, May 31 game in Arlington, here’s what the Cardinals’ June schedule looks like:

June Schedule Overview

  • 1 at Rangers (28-30, 3rd in AL West)

  • 3: vs. Royals (30-28, 4th in AL Central)

  • 3: vs. Dodgers (35-22, 1st in NL West)

  • 3: vs. Blue Jays (29-28, 3rd in AL East)

  • 4: at Brewers (30-28, 3rd in NL Central)

  • 3: at White Sox (18-39, 5th in AL Central)

  • 3: vs. Reds (29-29, 4th in NL Central)

  • 4: vs. Cubs (35-22, 1st in NL Central)

  • 3: at Guardians (30-26, 2nd in AL Central)

  • 1: at Pirates (21-37, 5th in NL Central)

This isn’t exactly a murderers’ row, but it presents its fair share of challenges.

June Highlights

  • Marquee Matchups: The Cardinals host two first-place powerhouses — the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs. Both are teams the Cardinals must go through if they plan on making postseason noise.

  • Opportunities to Gain Ground: They’ll also face two of the league’s worst teams in the Chicago White Sox and Pittsburgh Pirates, who sit at the bottom of their respective divisions.

  • Show Me State Rivalry: The Cardinals and Royals meet up at Busch Stadium right away to start the month. It also starts a nine game home stand. St. Louis won two out of three in Kansas City in May,
