TELEPATHY - Augury

2nd single "Augury" from the upcoming TELEPATHY album 'Transmissions' out via Pelagic Records on 28th March, 2025.

UK-based post-metal instrumentalists Telepathy have shared “Augury,” the latest single from their upcoming new full-length release Transmissions. Due for release on March 28, 2025 through Berlin’s esteemed Pelagic Records, the band have also announced a headline show at London’s The Black Heart venue on April 17 to celebrate the release of the album.

Shared today, new single “Augury” embodies the upcoming albums rejuvenative focus on the cinematic texture and narrative depth afforded by synthesizers. A six-minute epic, the fluid halftime groove propels plaintive guitar and synth arpeggios into exciting, uncharted territory as Telepathy’s signature use of found sound and audio samples declare that “the answer lies in the future.”

Accompanied by their second self-directed video, “Augury” finds the band playing with psychedelic imagery while creating an eerie neon-metropolis; a captivating visual accompaniment from the creatively-ambitious multi-hyphenates as they strive to push themselves artistically and build the world of Telepathy with every new release.

Formed in 2011, Telepathy is the creation of three Polish brothers: Piotr, Albert, and Krystian Turek, and English guitarist Richard Powley. Bringing a collision of musical influences from Tool, Deftones, and Vangelis to genres as diverse as synthwave and post-punk, it is the collective’s pervading love for film and movie scores that truly unites the band’s members under the Telepathy banner. Together, the four-piece quickly made a name for themselves through their instrumental balance of atypical tunings, found audio samples and joyride-like time signatures, conveying remarkably deep and dynamic narratives through their instruments alone.

Transmissions marks the culmination of four years of introspection, experimentation and revitalisation; representing the band at its expressive core. Inspired by faded photographs unearthed in the brother’s family home and the surprise discovery of a long lost relic, ‘Transmissions’ is a cluster of musical messages that hurtles between nostalgic snapshots of the past and the everyday chaos of the present.

Mastered by Grammy-nominated producer/engineer Machine (Lamb of God, Clutch, Unpeople)Transmissions was recorded & produced by the band at their newly established studio in their rural base in the East of England.

Transmissions is released on March 28.

“Augury” is out now.

“The second transmission from our new album completes the theme started with ‘Oath,’ creating one entire track when played after the preceding single,” says the band. “The video for ‘Augury’ was designed to take you on a journey into a psychedelic neon cityscape, at once widescreen and claustrophobic. We leant into our love of synthesizers, Tangerine Dream and Boards of Canada with this one.”
